Homemade Yogurt is one of the best recipes that i enjoy making it. It’s easy and healthy. You can choose whole fat Milk or low-fat milk to make it. I love to have thicker results, so I use whole fat milk with dry milk powder for my homemade yogurt.
Ingredients
- 1 L milk of your choice
- 120 g of dry milk powder
- ! tsp of vanilla
- 112g Live bacteria culture plain yogurt
- Jam of your choice to ( to replace sugar)
Instructions:
- Pour milk into a pot and turn heat to medium-low.
- Add powder milk and whisk until smooth
- Add the vanilla flavor
- keep it in the heat until 185 F
- take the yogurt starter from the fridge and put it on the side
- leave the mix to cool down until it gets to 110 F ( you can put your pot in a container of ice to help cool off quickly )
- Take 1 cup from the boiled milk and mix it with the starter yogurt. Stir well and mix it with the rest of the milk
- Pour the mix in yogurt jars and cover them and put them in a warm place to help with the incubation ( cover with blanket if need it )
- The longer time you leave it to incubate the thicker is ( minimum 8 hours )
- Put your mix to yogurt jar and put them in the fridge serve after 4h
